Kenyan immigrants in Baltimore living in fear after 28 immigrants were arrested
Immigrants in Baltimore, Maryland are currently living in fear after 28 people were arrested in a four-day immigration crackdown by ICE.According to latest report by CBS local, religious leaders have been forced to demand answers and want clarity from Immigration and Customs agents.The leaders organised a rally on Thursday at City Hall to show their concerns.“Enough is enough,” said City Council President Jack Young. “Meet with us, that we can sit down and iron this thing out and do the right thing.”Mike Mugo, a Kenyan immigrant, explained the feeling hinting that they are being targeted.“We’re living in fear,” Mugo said. “In fear, you know, because even if you’re legal, you know, you don’t walk around with your papers stamped on your face. And every time someone hears that accent, they think ‘oh, he is another person.’”The march was led by three Baltimore-area organizations working together for immigrants rights.Watch the report below:
