KQ makes yet another major move to ensure more people us the direct flight to US
National carrier christened ‘The Pride of Africa’ has opened a Euro Account to provide its customers with more payment options in its sale outlets in the country.The new currency addition joins the already existing US dollar and Kenya shilling with Kenya Airways Group Managing Director Sebastian Mikosz saying it aimed at offering flexibility.“We have opened a Euro Account to offer our guests more flexibility for payment options at all our sales outlets in Kenya. We want to offer our guests choices that enable them to pay in either the Kenya shilling, Euro or the US Dollar,” said Mikosz. KQ took the advantage of the opportunity presented the ever increasing number of multinational companies and foreign missions in the country who need the services and therefore giving them the opportunity to trade using the Euro.This makes it even more convenient for visitors from the European Union with statistics indicating that 250,000 tourists came from Germany, France, Italy, Poland, Romania, Netherlands and Belgium last year who form up part of the trading block.The introduction comes at a time when KQ is preparing for its inaugural direct flight to New York next month on the 28th .The move is expected to boost the revenues generated by the national carrier to help revive the ailing airline.
