Turkish Airways makes emergency landing in Kenya after bird strike

A Turkish Airlines flight was forced to make an emergency landing in Mombasa's Moi International Airport after a bird was sucked into one of the engines.The incident occurred after Flight TK 673 from Mombasa to Istanbul had taken off at about 4 a.m. local time (0100GMT) with 121 passengers and six crew members on board, Regional Police Commander Larry Kieng confirmed.Kieng said all passengers were safe and had been evacuated.No one injured. The plane was checked by technicians and took off again.121 passengers and six cabin crew were were provided overnight accommodation a the Sarova Whitesands Beach Resort.
