Billionaire Jimmy Wanjigi: My life is in danger, I'm being trailed by unknown people day and night
Billionaire businessman Jimmy Wanjigi says his life is in danger.Wanjigi has written to Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinnet, complaining about being trailed by unknown people day and night. He filed a report at the Gigiri Police Station on Sunday, September 10, following a visit from a senior State House official who visited him at home to warn him of a “real and imminent threat to his life”.According to Wanjigi, for the past one month, strange people and vehicles have been trailing him day and night, and is therefore seeking police protection at his own cost.“This is therefore to bring to the attention of your good office the above subject matter for your urgent intervention and further necessary action by way of providing our client with adequate police security at his cost before any harm is visited on him,” Wanjigi said in the letter through his lawyer Elizabeth Karoki. Wanjigi believes, there is already a plot in place to tarnish his name, and it all begun with the publication of ‘fake articles’ about him in a local daily just before Kenyans headed to the ballot.Prior to the August 8 elections, several articles were published about the businessman, prompting sharp reactions from some politicians. According to Wanjigi, this was part of a larger scheme to harm him.
