Confusion As IEBC Releases Official List Of Presidential Candidates And Kalonzo Musyoka Is Among Them

Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka was among the IEBC list of presidential aspirants of the coming August elections, despite Raila Odinga being the official NASA bearer.In a final list released by the IEBC, Kalonzo’s name conspicuously appears ahead of Raila Odinga who will fly the Opposition’s flag.

 While addressing journalists on Thursday, May 18, Omar who is also the Senator for Mombasa said Kalonzo being in the list was simply a case of a “list passed by events”.“We first submitted Kalonzo as the Wiper flagbearer, but on the basis of the coalition government (NASA) he will be Raila Odinga’s running mate.” Omar said.

Among the other aspirants in the race include 8 presidential candidates (including Raila and Uhuru), 183 individuals eyeing the various gubernatorial seats, 265 senatorial aspirants and a record 9221 Members of the County assembly aspirants.Watch the video below:
