France's Next First Lady Could Be A Grandmother Of 7 And 24 Years Older Than Her Husband

Emmanuel Macron is hoping to become the next President of France. He might be a little different from the many presidents the country has seen though.Macron is married to Brigitte Marie-Claude Trogneux, who is 24 years older and was his French literature teacher. The 39-year-old Marcron and the 63-year-old Trogneux do not have any children together, but she has three children – son Sebastien and daughters Laurence and Tiphane – from a previous marriage. She also has seven grandchildren, so Macron is a 39-year-old step-grandfather.The two have been married for 10 years and they have known each other since 1992 when they met in school. Sounds like a typical 'childhood sweetheart' romance, but there is a twist to this tale.According to the Daily Mail, Trogneux - then a married mother-of-three - was the teaching supervisor for the school's drama club. Macron, who loved literature, acted in the club's theatre pieces and grew closer to his teacher after convincing her to write a play with him. When he was 17, he made a startling promise to her. "Emmanuel said to me, 'Whatever you do, I will marry you!'," Trogneux recalled in a magazine interview last year.If he wins, the 39-year-old former banker would be the youngest French leader in modern history, upending tradition that has usually seen voters favour experience in their powerful presidents.Latest opinion polls found that Macron would win about two-thirds of the vote if the run-off was held today. His projected first round victory is a vindication of his decision to quit the government of unpopular Socialist President Francois Hollande in August to concentrate on building up his own centrist political movement “En Marche” ("On the Move").
