Here Is The Real Reason Why Safaricom, Mpesa Was Down Almost The Whole Day
Kenyans were in agony for almost half a day after mobile network Safaricom experienced some technical difficulties.Subscribers were unable to make calls and browse on Safaricom’s network or to send money via M-Pesa making Kenyans to bash the network online. The company, in response, said that the shutdown was unscheduled and that it was working to resolve it.“Our apologies, we are experiencing a technical hitch on voice, data, M-pesa and wimax services and are working to resolve,” said Safaricom on its official Twitter handle.

Many theories were being thrown around why there was a blackout. Some claimed it was because of terror attacks while others claimed it was something to do with the ongoing party primaries or the coming August 8 general elections but they could not offer any explanations for that.Safaricom was forced to apologise to millions of its customers following the hitch which lasted for about three hours.“Jambo, sorry for the inconveniences caused, we are having Network downtime, kindly bear with us as we fix the problem as soon as possible,” they said.https://twitter.com/WehliyeMohamed/status/856420185183485952?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.tuko.co.ke%2F237970-agony-safaricom-system-down.html
