Hong Kong to launch private executive flight to Kenya that will cost KSh 4.6 million per person

A Hong Kong-based airline operator plans to launch a Sh4.6 million a ticket luxury flight to Nairobi targeting Asia's super-rich keen on sampling Kenya's prime holiday destinations.Crystal AirCruises – the luxury private jet operator owned by Genting Hong Kong – has announced its first “air cruise” programme.Its Crystal Skye private jet will take travellers from Hong Kong to Nairobi in Kenya and Tahiti in French Polynesia.Chartered by Genting Hong Kong, the nine-day programme will start on September 30 in Hong Kong at the beginning of the Golden Week holidays period on the mainland.The interior, with a commercial capacity of 380 passengers, has sacrificed seats for space, offering first class travel accommodation for just 86 guests.Flatbed seats come with 24-inch screens, noise-resistant Bose headphones, personal iPads and complimentary WiFi, in couple formation stretching across two aisles.Reliving the romantic flights of yesteryear, the lounge encourages socialising, with four tables that seat six, two couches and a stand-up bar.

"I am delighted that our parent company, Genting Hong Kong, is introducing Crystal Skye - a wondrous new experience to the discerning travellers of Asia Pacific," said Crystal CEO and president Edie Rodriguez.

While in Kenya, the group will stay at Villa Rosa Kempinski in Nairobi and the Governors Camp in the Masai Mara Game Reserve.
