'How to get pregnant’, 'Jimmi Wanjigi' top Kenya Google search(full list)

Former President Mwai Kibaki and businessman Jimmi Wanjigi were among the most searched names this year, search engine giant Google reports.Phrases ‘Tibim’, ‘how to get pregnant’, as well as ‘what is Bitcoin’ were also top phrases searched by Kenyans.“For what we’ve gathered, people went online to find out how their children had performed, which is why ‘KCPE 2017 results’ was a popular search. Soo many rumors circulated this month regarding the former President (Kibaki), which could be why he was trending. The IEBC CEO had also found favor upon the eyes of women online, which probably drove the searches,” said Google’s Communications and Public Affairs for Africa Dorothy Ooko.Other popular searches on Google in Kenya this year was ‘What is Sarahah’ and ‘What is Bitcoin’.“Recurring queries this year include the usual suspects such as ‘How to lose weight’, ‘How to lose belly fat’, ‘How to be pregnant’ among others.
