Kenyans are still in disbelief after former Meru Governor Peter Munya pledged support for the re-election of President Uhuru Kenyatta barely a week after joining NASA.Tweeting on his official account, President Uhuru Kenyatta said the ‘PNU chairman’ Peter Munya and other party officials pledged to support his re-election bid following consultations at State House, Nairobi.In a statement to newsrooms, the Party of National Unity (PNU) party leader said that following consultations, the decision to support President Kenyatta is in the best interest of the country."After thorough consultations with our party members, elders and supporters across the country, it has been agreed that in the very best interest of the country we support President Kenyatta in the forthcoming presidential election,” read the statementThe move has angered some Kenyans while impressed others. Many took to social media to show their stand on the move saying:Miriti Sesmo Am so disappointed by this move. How can you go and dine with the very people who planned, designed and executed your downfall???
