Kibaki loses close family member

Former President Mwai Kibaki is bereaved following the death of his sister-in-law Elizabeth Mumbi Githinji.Reports indicate that Githinji passed on recently but the cause of the death has not yet been announced.President Uhuru Kenyatta sent his message of condolences saying she was a dedicated mother and role model who inspired many people in achieving their goals. “We will always remember Mama Elizabeth as a lovely and dedicated Christian, who was kind and loving,” said Kenyatta in statement.The deceased was the wife of Kibaki's late elder bother Philip Muriithi Kibaki. She is the mother to Laikipia Governor Ndiritu Muriithi.
