The world has been left speechless after photos of the current state of the sites that hosted the first Olympic Games in South America, Rio de Janeiro emerged.Organizers promised the structures would be a benefit for the citizens of Brazil but the photos prove otherwise.Getty Images photojournalist Mario Tama recently took a few images of the structures that have left many shocked of how they are deserted and crumbling.In the months following the 2016 Summer Olympics, the facilities of Rio de Janeiro's Olympic Village have fallen into disuse and disrepair.
