Supreme Court Judge's car shot at, driver badly injured

An employee belonging to a Supreme Court judge has been shot and injured by unknown people.The Deputy Chief Justice Philomena Mwilu's driver was injured in Hurlingham,Nairobi after a gang shot at the car.Police sources confirmed the incident but said officers authorised to comment on it would respond later.Mwilu was not in the vehicle as the driver had dropped her at her home in Karen and was heading to Kilimani, sources said.The driver was rushed to Nairobi Women's Hospital.The incident comes ahead of Wednesday morning's hearing by the Supreme Court of a case by two lawyers seeking to stop or postpone Thursday's repeat presidential election.
