The fight against corruption is not stopping any soon until the vice is managed at least according to President Uhuru Kenyatta. What we own, and what we have is known to the public. If there is an instance where someone can say what we have done is not legitimate, say it, and we are ready to face any court. We can even go back to my grandfather and great grandfather, ” Uhuru told BBC. The President reiterated that the lifestyle audit he has been advocating for has no ill intent adding that his administration is looking for ways to come up with important relevant legislations to ensure those ascending to power meet the relevant integrity standards.President Kenyatta said that his commitment in the fight against corruption is unstoppable as this is the legacy he wants to leave behind when his term as head of state comes to an end. He has now pushed the ball to the judiciary and the relevant agencies to do their mandate which on several occasion he has pledged and promised his full support.“Regardless who you are even if you are my family, I have said clearly agencies are free to interrogate you, prosecute and convict you. It has begun with MPs and individuals who nobody thought would ever be arrested. It is now upon the courts to do their part through expeditious determination of cases,” said Uhuru. That is why you see regenerated institutions. We are ready to support judiciary to ensure prompt administration,” Uhuru noted.
