US bishop hit and injured by government car after arriving from diaspora
Retired United Pentecostal Evangelistic Crusades Church (UPEC-K) Bishop Wilson Kigen was rushed to hospital on Monday evening after being ran over by a government car.The car rammed into a boda boda that was carrying him along Maji Mazuri-Makutano road.He was rushed to Eldama Ravine Nursing Home for emergency treatment before being transferred to a hospital in Eldoret for advanced medical care.Kigen suffered a hip dislocation in the accident.The vehicle which caused the accident, according to Kigen, belongs to the forestry department.Kigen had arrived from the US on Saturday, November 11, and was scheduled to supervise an ongoing construction at the UPEC-K church in Eldama Ravine after a successful fundraiser held on Sunday, November 12.
