According to a new survey released by Expatistan, an online cost of living calculator, Nairobi has been ranked the fourth most expensive city in Africa.Expatistan researched on different products and came to some rather surprising conclusion. For example, Nairobi has the fourth cheapest domestic labour in the world and the lowest purchase price for a Volkswagen Golf 1.4 TSI as well a pair of basic denim jeans.When it comes to accommodation and fast foods, Nairobi leads in the price of the products.A combo meal in a fast food restaurant such as Big Mac Meal costs an average Sh 724, while a basic lunchtime menu, including a drink in the central business district costs Sh 914.The research also surveyed the cost of electronics and found out that they are a bit cheaper in Kenya than most other countries.
