Comedian Chipukeezy shares how Trump’s administration ‘embarrassed’ him three times

Comedian Chipukeezy was ready but Donald Trump administration thought otherwise.The comedian has opened about his US tour saying that he had been denied Visa three times by the US government, almost shattering his dream.The good thing he did was that he never gave up.“It has been a memorable journey. At some point, I broke down on the flight. I must have been the only African on board, having also met some of the biggest comedians in America,” Chipukizeey said during a recent interview on NTV.The comedian was in the US mid this year for a tour which saw him become the first Kenyan comedian to showcase his rib-cracking ability at the Open-Mic Show in Dallas, Texas in the US.In the process, he met a few notable faces in the comedy business including Kevin Hart. He asked youths to be go-getters and fight for their dreams using Jaguar, who is now the MP of Starehe, as an example.“At some point I was frustrated. I really wanted to perform in America but on three occasions I was denied a Visa. It was a really challenging moment,” he recalled.Chipukeezy will return to the USA later this year and will emcee the Africa Music Award (AFRIMA) gala in Dallas.
