Media personality Julie Gichuru has shared how the past week or so have been challenging to her and her family after one of her sons fell ill.Taking to social media, the former Citizen TV news anchor posted an emotional message asking parents not to ignore anything unusual about their children’s bodiesHere is what she posted:“Been though a series of difficult days looking into a unique medical issue with our little one. Finally, done with a key procedure today. So relieved and thankful for God’s enduring grace, mercy, love, and blessings. "Please, if you notice anything odd, irritating, uncomfortable or unusual with yourself or your child, don’t procrastinate. Ask questions. Seek professional answers. Do your own research too. Don’t take chances. "Take appropriate action. The earlier you deal with an issue, the better. Be well Love. Light. Blessings” She captioned the above picture of herself in hospital with her bedridden son in the background.Recently, Julie opened up about her life saying she and and her husband lost a son a few years ago. Mwaura chocked on pureed food to death.“It was incredibly hard and I need to say now that our baby choked on pureed food, and to all the mothers and fathers out there, the biggest cause of child death under one year is choking. Children can choke on liquids and they can choke on solids, we didn’t know that and it happened.” She told K24’s Talk Central host Kalekye Mumo.
