NASA’s Governor got a ‘D’ and has a fake degree, Kenyatta University confirms

Taita Taveta Governor Granton Samboja has a fake degree and did not acquire it from Kenyatta University as he had stated, Kenyatta University has confirmed.The governor claims to have a degree from KU even after scoring a ‘D’ plain in his KCSE.According to the Standard, the university says in a letter to the anti-corruption commission that the governor did not enroll for a degree course in 2006 as he had earlier claimed.“This is to inform you that there are no records in the university to indicate that Granton Samboja…was a student of Kenyatta University and graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce in 2009…Mr Granton Sambonja was not a student of Kenyatta University during the period refereed in your letter,” said KU.The document is part of evidence before a Mombasa court which a voter is relying on after he filed a case claiming Samboja is in office illegally as he does not meet the academic qualifications to be governor.In a statement recorded by EACC, Samboja claimed that he went to Mwakishimba Primary School in Taita Taveta and sat his KCPE in 1990.He then pursued a Diploma course in Human Resource Management at KU in 2003 before enrolling for the degree course in 2006 and graduating in 2009 after clearing in Ngangao Secondary where he got a D plain.
