Kid in racist advertising campaign is Kenyan, Mother says she doesn't mind

Swedish clothing giant Hennes and Mauritz has been forced to apologize for their racist ad campaign online that had a black kid wearing a green hoodie with the inscription "coolest monkey in the jungle".While almost everyone had a problem with the campaign especially American icons Lebron James and P diddy, the son's mother, a Kenyan living in Stockholm Sweden, thinks it was an "unnecessary issue" and things were just blown out of proportion. On Facebook, she posted a photo with her son saying: Am the mum and this was just one of the hundreds outfit my son has modeled. stop crying wolf all the time unnecessary issues here..get over it.Canadian singer The Weeknd cancelled his partnership with the fashion retailer after the advertisement. The company said the image has been pulled down and the campaign stopped, but a version of the hoodie without the words is still available."The image has now been removed from all H&M channels and we apologise to anyone this may have offended," the company told AFP.
