More details of the young Kenyan girl who collapsed and died in her apartment in Ohio emerge
A 23-year-old woman who was found dead in her apartment in Columbus, Ohio just a day before 2018, is from Vihiga County.Irine Mudagale Yonge reportedly collapsed and died in her apartment on December 29, 2017 while preparing for work.Her body was found a day later after a worried colleague reported the matter to the police when she didn't reported to work and her phone went unanswered.Yonge hails from Makuchi Village, Vihiga County, where she will be laid to rest on January 27th. She had relocated to Columbus from Maryland in September 2015 and got a job at Amazon.The Highpoint High School of Hyattsville, Prince Georges County, Maryland graduate was still pursuing Nursing course at the Columbus School of Practical Nursing and was scheduled to graduate this year.Her death comes just days after Patricia Miswa was found dead in her room on January 4, 2018. She collapsed and passed away in her room at a tender age of 32 in Mankato, in the US where she was pursuing her masters degree.Yonge's family asked Kenyans to assist in bringing the body back home."Miss Yonge was a passionate and loving person," her family posted on gofundme. "She will be dearly missed by friends and family. She’s survived by her mother Margaret Yonge; siblings Lawrence, George, Norega, Silvia, Linda all of Maryland, USA, Monica Geh, Ferry Geh (brother in-law), and Alex Nandwa all in Canada, Uncle Richard and Ruth Sanya (USA)."
