Sahara desert experiences snow fall for the second time in 38 years
Sahara desert, which is the largest and the hottest desert in the world, has experienced yet another snowfall in 38 years at Ain Sefra in northern Algeria.Photos captured by photographer Hamouda Ben Jerad, showed the desert being covered by the 16 inches of snow which melted later in the day.In 1979, the desert also experienced the same weather. The snow is reported to have lasted for only a day.Here is was what people had to say on social media regarding the unexpected weather:

I heard on the Weather Channel yesterday that it snowed in the Sahara. I think they said 14", but I was only paying partial attention.
